September 11th: Hoffy's started the season with a 6-2 win. The team demonstrated great passing and solid teamwork. Stacie led the scoring with 3 goals, Julie had 2 and Nia had 1. There was solid goalie play by Tianangay, Victoria and Julie. Tianangay showed great toughness in the net. A ball hit her in the face and she still managed to gain control of the ball; she did come out of the game but was ready to get back on the field in minutes!
September 15th: Hoffy's continued to show great teamwork in a 6-0 win over Swanson. Julie led the way in scoring with 4 and Victoria had 2. Amazing game stat: 6 assists to go with the 6 goals! Stacie had 4 assists, Nia and Paige each had 1. Tianangay again proved tough in the goal with an amazing stop of a penalty kick.
September 18th: Hoffy's won 8-3 against Ready Pac in a rain soaked game. Victoria led the way in scoring with 3, Stacie had 2; Julie, Tianangay and Ashley had 1 each (Julie also had 3 assists). Congratulations to Tianangay and Ashley on their first goals. The defense was led by Nia who stopped many break aways.
September 20th: Hoffy's won in a close game over FMS 3-2. Scoring was provided by Julie with 2 and Stacie with one. Christie and Nia each had one assist. The play of game was when Victoria stopped a penalty kick!
September 25th: Hoffy's defeated Swanson 7 to 3. Hoffy's came back from their largest deficit of the year. Hoffy's was down 3-1 in the first quarter and shut out Swanson's the rest of the game. Julie exploded for 6 goals with Stacie adding 1 (and 1 assist) but it was more than goals that changed the game around. Nia led the defense, after being switched from striker to halfback, with solid play from Ashley, Stacie, Julie, Rebecca and 3 quarters of shut out goalie play by Tianangay and Tori. Tianangay also played awesome at sweeper the second half providing strong kicks to clear out the ball from in front of the net.
September 28th: Hoffy's defeated FMS 5 to 0. Hoffy's recorded it's second shutout of the season with stifling defense led by Nia and outstanding goalie play by Tianangay and Tori. The scoring was provided by Julie with 3, Stacie and Nia each with 1.
October 2nd: In their most complete game of the season, Hoffy's defeated Swanson 7 to 0. The scoring was led by Stacie with 3; Julie and Victoria with 2 each. Stacie, Julie and Victoria also had 1 assist each. The suffocating defense was led by Ashley and Nia with solid contributions from Victoria, Stacie, Julie, Christie, Paige and Rebecca. The combination of Tianangay, Julie and Victoria as goalies helped ensure the shutout.
October 6th: Hoffy's defeated Ready Pac 4-0 in another well played game. Julie led the scoring with 2, Stacie had 1 and.....Paige scored her first of the year!!! Congratulations Paige! There was a strong defensive effort led by Nia and goalies Tori and Tianangay.
October 13th: Hoffy's defeated FMS 4-0 to clinch the regular season title!!! Julie and Stacie each scored 2 as Tianangay and Tori secured the shutout in the net. Once again a total team effort produced the win; Great Job by Tori, Stacie, Julie, Christie, Paige, Rebecca, Tianangay, Ashley and Nia.
October 16th: Hoffy's posted it's 10th win of the season with a 5-1 win over Ready Pac. Julie led the scoring with 4 and Stacie added 1. The plays of the game were perfect passes;one from Paige to Julie and then one from Christie to Julie for scores. Great assists Paige and Christie! Tianangay and Tori proved to be tough in the net again.
October 23rd: In the most dramatic victory in Hoffy's recent history, Hoffy's defeated Swanson 3-2. Hoffy's trailed at the end of 3 quarters 2-1. Julie was double and tripled teamed all day and had just one goal. The 4th quarter began with a 3 striker and 2 forward lineup, leaving Nia and Tianangay as the sole defenders with Tori in the net. With 2 minutes left to play Julie scored. That play was initiated by a great throw in by Tianangay who threw over the top of 3 defenders. With the scored tied, the defense was back at full strength and the offense was inspired by Julie's gutsy performance. With the time winding down Hoffy's made one final push up the field and Stacie kicked the ball into the net one half second BEFORE THE REF BLEW THE WHISTLE TO END THE GAME!!!!! Congratulations Hoffy's!!
October 23rd: Hoffy's ended a perfect regular season by defeating Ready Pac 5-0. Julie scored 4 goals with Tori adding 1. Stacie had 2 assists. The defense was led by Nia and goalies Tianangay, Tori and Julie, to ensure Hoffy's 6th shutout of the season. Everyone contributed in the final win of the regular season. Congratulations to Julie, Nia, Stacie, Tori, Tianangay, Rebecca, Christie, Paige and Ashley.
November
6th: Hoffy's won their first playoff game against FMS 4-0. Tori had an
outstanding all around game; no goals allowed for 1 quarter in the net, 2 goals
scored and great defense at the halfback position. Co-captain Julie had 2
goals with Christie assisting on one of them. Co-captain Nia led the defense
with intense play from start to finish. The combination of Tianangay, Tori
and Julie in the net helped provide the shutout.
