The Fire could not get their composure until about 20 minutes into the game as both teams played even with each team scoring two goals apiece before halftime. Doug MacArthur scored the Fire's first goal assisted by Daniel Belcher. The Fire's second goal was scored by Ron Lind as he headed in Greg Perri's 20-yard direct kick as it rebounded off of the crossbar. Fire settles for a bittersweet tie The Florence Fire tied the Burlington Renegades, 0 - 0. However, it was a game of numerous missed scoring opportunities for the Fire.
