November 1st: The weather was picture perfect but the field a bit slick for the second round of the playoffs.  Several of the Racers straggled in at the last minute just in time for the game.  Perhaps it had something to do with a busy night of trick-or-treating the evening before.  After drawing lettuce leaves on their faces the team was off & running.  The Racers hustled all game, scored first & played great defense to pull off a 2-0 victory.  They head into the last week of the season in a tie for the playoff championship.  Next week they face Farmers & Mechanics who is the only team to have beaten the Racers during the past 11 games.

October 25th:  It was a cold morning with frost on the ground for the early game but warmed up by game time for nearly perfect playing conditions.  The Racers team showed up early for their game and were revved up when the opening whistle blew. The Racers scored first to take a 1-0 lead. Hoffy's came close to tying the game but was unable to convert on a P-K.  With Kyra in goal & the whole team doing a great job of keeping the ball on the offensive half of the field the Racers led 1-0 at the half.  The Racers ran up a 2-0 lead early in the second half by out hustling Hoffy's and playing nearly mistake free soccer.  Hoffy's took advantage of a tiring Racers team as Ready Pac was unable to keep up the pace they had set early in the game and scored two quality goals to tie the game at 2-2.

September 25th: Farmers & Mechanics scored in the first quarter to take a 1-0 lead. Sheryl Anne scored for the Racers in the third quarter to tie the game at 1-1.  The Racers moved the ball well all night and had a number of scoring chances late in the game but couldn't get the ball past the keeper.  Farmers & Mechanics had several chances to take the lead in the second half.  They had one shot which our keeper, Kyra, deflected just enough so the ball bounced off of the post before she was able to cover it up.  On another play Kyra slow a shot down just enough so that Julie was able to take the rebound from near the goal line and clear it out of our end.  Everyone on the team had lots of touches.  We had a few accidental hand balls, and a few off sides but overall did not make many mistakes.  Kristin had a great first half as keeper.  Nicole C. hustled and moved the ball all game.  Shynese, Rebekah, Kristin and Morgan helped to control the game at mid-field. Julie, Caitlin & Nicole S. helped at multiple positions and each toke the ball to the goal several times and came close to scoring. Megan split time between the front line and full back contributing to the teams success at both positions.

September 20th: The Racers broke out of their scoring slump as the offense stayed spread side to side and Sheryl Anne knocked in three goals by staying in perfect position.  Great goal tending by Kristin & Kyra held the opposition to a single goal as the team put together a 4-1 win against the Strikers.

September 19th: The Racers scored twice and it was enough to pick up the first win of the season 2-1 against Farmers & Mechanics Bank.  Continual improvement had great hustle paid off in a close match.

September 18th: The Racers played tough despite near hurricane conditions. Ready Pac lost 3-4 in a tough game on a very windy Lower Marter field.  The team continued to show improvement and is on the right track.

September 9th:  The Racers scored their first goal of the season but came up a few goals short losing 1-3 to the Strikers.  The team showed improvement with throw-ins and looked better than on opening day.

September 6th:  The Ready Pac Racers played well but couldn't get the ball into the net on opening day.  Hoffy's came out on top by a score of 2-0.
