REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS!!!

PLAYOFFS

November 8th: Hoffy's tied with Cedar Lane 0-0.  In the last game of the playoffs, Cedar Lane and Hoffy's battled to the last minute.  All the team contributed; Ashley, Beth, Kelly, Shannon, Morgan, Mariah, Emily, Nia, Kristie and Jonna.  Although Hoffy's did not lose in the playoffs, a record of 1-0-2 was not good enough to capture the playoffs.  Congratulations to Ready Pac!!

November 1st: Hoffys had a great game against the blue team (Farmers & Mechanics) . Morgan made some awesome goals and Jonna had a 2 goals too! Mariah scored her first goal of the season!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shannon played in goal and finally punted the ball about 25 feet. Overall everyone on the team had a great game.  Hoffys won 6 to zip and they all celebrated on that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Reported by Shannon

October 25th:  Hoffy's Tied Ready Pac 2-2.  In the first half Ready Pac scored to take a 1-0 lead.  Ashley played great and stopped Ready Pac from several scoring chances with her play at sweeper.  Ready Pac took a 2-0 lead in the second half until Jonna scored to make it 2-1.  Morgan scored to tie it up at 2-2 and as she kicked a corner kick, the ball was bouncing in front of the Ready Pac net when the ref blew the whistle to end the game.  Shannon played the whole game in the net and did a great job.  Reported by Jonna.

October 18th:  Hoffy's defeated Cedar Lane 3-2.  Nia scored her first goal of the year to help lift Hoffy's past the Strikers.  Morgan scored 2 goals one of which she kicked in from a corner kick and deflected off an opposing player.  Ashley and Shannon were strong in the net and the overall solid play of Kelly, Jonna and Beth helped in the victory.

October 14th: Hoffy's defeated Farmers & Mechanics Bank 2-1.  Kelly was the star of the game providing great defense and a goal.  Morgan scored the other goal and once again the defense of  Ashley, Shannon, Kelly, Nia and defensive captain Beth was strong.

October 10th:  Lost 3-0 to Cedar Lane Strikers.

October 7th: Hoffy's tied with Ready Pac 0-0.  There was a total team effort in a hard fought battle.  Emily, Kristie, Mariah, Precious, Nia and Jonna did their best on the offensive end.  Beth, Ashley and Kelly did a great job on the defensive end with Shannon and Morgan posting another shutout.

October 4th: In yet another tough battle, Jonna scored on a penalty kick to lead Hoffy's to a 1-0 win over Cedar Lane Strikers.  Morgan and Shannon posted their 5th shutout of the season.  Beth once again led the defense with great play from Ashley and Kelly.

September 30th: Hoffy's defeated Farmers & Mechanics Bank 1-0.  Morgan scored the only goal as the defense was led by Beth and strong play from Kelly, Ashley and Nia.  Morgan and Shannon combined for their 4th shutout in the net.

September 27th: In a hard fought defensive struggle, Hoffy's and Ready Pac tied 1-1.  Jonna scored the only goal and the defense was led by Beth, Nia and Ashley.  Morgan and Shannon were strong in the net.

September 23rd: Hoffy's defeated Cedar Lane Strikers 2-0.  Kelly led the way with her first goal of the season in the first half and standout defense at the
sweeper position in the second.  Morgan scored a goal and the stellar defense was led by  Beth, Nia and Ashley.  In the net, Morgan and Shannon combined for their third shutout.

September 20th: Hoffy's suffered their first defeat of the season 8-6 against Farmers & Mechanics Bank.   The high scoring game was led by Jonna with 2 goals and an assist, and Morgan with 2 goals.  Precious scored her first of the season and Shannon also had a goal.

September 18th: Hoffy's defeated Ready Pac 4-3 in a tough game on a very windy Lower Marter field.  Morgan led the offense with 3 goals and Shannon scored her first of the season.  In the fourth quarter with the score 4-3, the defense, led by Nia and her sister Jonna, held the one goal lead as Shannon made key stops in the net.

September 11th:  Hoffy's defeated F&M Bank 4-0.  Morgan scored 4 second half goals to lead the offense.  The play of the game is when Kelly had an assist on a throw in deep in F&M's territory.  The defense was led by stellar play from Beth along with solid defensive performances from Ashley and Nia.  Shannon had many key stops in the net as her and Morgan combined for their second shutout.

September 6th:  Hoffy's defeated Ready Pac 2-0.  Hoffy's was led by Morgan's goal and Jonna's goal and assist.  The combination of Shannon and Morgan in the net provided the shut out. There was an overall great team performance by the defense.
